Editorial Team
Editors-in-Chief
Dr. Dominique A. Glauser, University of Fribourg, Switzerland
Dominique Glauser earned his PhD in 2007 from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, for his work on the transcriptomic impact of metabolic and hormonal signals in pancreatic beta cells. He then moved to Stanford University, CA, USA, to achieve a postdoctoral training on the genetic analysis of behavior with the Caenorhabditis elegans model. Since 2010, he has established an independent line of research on the molecular, cellular, and neural circuit bases of nociception and aversive behaviors in the Department of Biology at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Dominique Glauser is currently a Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) Professor in this institute. Since 2014, he has joined the Editorial team of the Journal of Biological Methods as co-Editor-in-chief.
Dr. Long-Cheng Li, Nantong University, China
Long-Cheng Li obtained his medical degree and residency training at Tongji Medical University in China. He did a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Urology at the University of California San Francisco between 1998 and 2000, during which time he created the Protocol Online website. He then joined DoubleTwist, Inc. as a bioinformatics scientist to work on human genome annotation. Li became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology in 2007 and an Associate Professor in 2011. In 2006, he discovered a novel small RNA-mediated gene regulation phenomenon which he termed RNA activation (RNAa). He has authored or co-authored over 70 publications, several book chapters, and software applications. Since 2013, he has joined the Editorial team of the Journal of Biological Methods as co-Editor-in-chief.
Deputy Editor
Dr. Vera Huang, United States
Vera Huang joined JBM as Deputy Editor in 2013. She is a trained molecular biologist and cancer biologist. Following her undergraduate study in Molecular & Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, Vera received her Ph.D. from UCSD, where she studied the p53 tumor suppressor family in DNA damage response by ChIP-chip. During her postdoctoral study at UCSF, Vera investigated nuclear functions of Argonaute proteins and miRNA-mediated gene activation known as RNA activation (RNAa) in cancer. In addition to her editor role, Vera is also interested in applying cutting edge technologies towards understanding of human diseases and drug discovery.
